The short version: we collect your account details, how you use the app, and — if you accept cookies — some information used to show ads that help keep the free trial free. We don't sell your personal data.

CoalAlgo ("we", "us") operates the CoalAlgo website and application. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Account information

Email address (used for login and account verification)
Password (stored as a salted hash — we never store your plain-text password)
Subscription and billing status (payment details themselves are handled directly by Paddle, our payment processor — we do not store your card details)

Usage information

Which symbols you follow, watchlist and filter preferences
App interactions (pages visited, features used) to improve the Service and diagnose issues
Community chat posts you choose to submit

Device & technical information

IP address, browser type, and device information
Push notification tokens, if you enable notifications

3. Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and similar local storage technologies for the following purposes:

To serve ads (where applicable) that support free access to the Service

5. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal data. We share limited information with:

Paddle — to process subscription payments (acts as merchant of record)
Google AdSense — to serve ads, where enabled, and only for visitors who accept advertising cookies
Our email/SMTP provider — to deliver verification and notification emails
Telegram — if you choose to connect notifications via our Telegram bot
Law enforcement or regulators, only where legally required

6. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and record-keeping purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including password hashing and access controls — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@coalalgo.com.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at, and not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International users

Your information may be processed in a country other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, in accordance with this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, communicated directly.
